Charlotte has had an affinity for being in the water since before she can remember. She first considered SCUBA diving in college, but was deterred by the initial financial investment required. After putting off it for nearly 10 years she finally dove in and earned her basic open water certification with Sound Dive in Oct 2018. Since then, she has been consuming as much information as possible to become a more knowledgeable and skilled diver. Charlotte began working with Sound Dive Center as a Sales Associate in 2021, and is currently Director of Customer Engagement. She is also a newly minted Dive Master and excited to share the Puget Sound with you!
"Scuba diving has changed my life. Full stop. I have to actively remind myself to not dwell on the decade of missed diving opportunities and enjoy every chance I have now to be breathing underwater! It is so exciting to explore the world beneath the surface. For me, any dive is a great dive if I get to dive with a jellyfish. I am also very fond of wolf eels, as they are the curmudgeons of the sea, and the Giant Plumose Anemone that we have here in the Pacific North West. Plus the ethereal frosted nudibranchs, and of course the Giant Pacific Octopus! You have to come diving with us and see it all for yourself."

Mike's first Scuba certification was in 1982 in the midwest and has been diving constantly since, in almost all conditions and climates ever since, only missing about 12 years when he first arrived in the Pacific NW and gradually progressing to an Instructor (NAUI 56440) . Mike served as a US Navy Hospital Corpsman, with most of that career spent with the Marines. He has been in the Emergency Services (Medical, Fire Fighter, Law Enforcement) in some form since 1985 across the US and a few other countries. Mike’s favorite classes to teach are Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diving. When Mike is not teaching, he can be found doing woodworking, boating, camping and of course Scuba Diving.
James’ first certification was in 1992 in the southeast USA where he started diving in the Florida Springs and Keys. He put diving on hold for several years after his enlistment in the Navy in early 2002. James is proud to serve as an Electronic Technician (Assistant Navigator) on submarines. In 2009 he attended Navy Dive School to become a Navy SCUBA diver. He has since had the pleasure of diving around the world, including the Indian Ocean, Red Sea, and Mediterranean Sea. James became an Instructor (NAUI 62329) in 2024. When James is not teaching, he can be found woodworking, camping, hiking, and riding his motorcycle.
