Roatan’s reef system is the world’s second-largest barrier reef, the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, in the northern hemisphere. The island’s reefs and drop-offs are teeming with colorful marine life and are ideally suited for novices and experts alike. Anthony Key Resort is ideally located in the middle of the Bay Island National Marine Park (BINMP) encompassing more than 2,498 square miles of protected marine sanctuary. For the Eco and Green Diver, you can volunteer with the Roatan Institute of Marine Science, which is located on the Anthony Key Resort Property, to help maintain the Coral nursery.
